These inspirations could be as a result of experiences, memories, or even important and less important observations that he expresses through a variety of techniques. His often dreamlike and surreal tales are composed with a precise and meticulous attention to detail – and particularly to the lighting of the image. His work can be characterized by a sense of serenity that one is likely to obtain through “Arousing small, simple feelings”.

His topics and style can be described sometimes as lavish and luxurious and in other instance they can be very straight forward and simple. As a matter of fact, Oliver is a versatile photographer whose work takes advantage of a wide array of inspirations and influences to focus on what counts. Born in Danzig he is now based in Hamburg.
