After obtaining her bachelor’s degree in Mexico City, Ylenia packed her bags and moved from her natal Mexico to Paris pursuing a career in fashion marketing. There she descovered she was not only crazy about fashion but also about photography.
Ylenia began to shot Street Style at the Paris Fashion Week while studing for her Master’s Degree in International Fashion Management. Slowly she began to collaborate with bloggers and continued developing her skills and love for photography. What started as a hobby, became the beginning of a career in photography.
She joined the team of the fashion designer Felipe Oliveira Baptista as E-Marketing and Communications assistant, followed by a position at Precouture.com as E-Marketing and Community Manager, but her passion for photography led her to become what she really desired: a full time photographer.
Since then, aside from shooting at multiple fashion weeks, she does editorial and commercial photography works for brands and high-end publications such as: Vogue Mexico, Schön Magazine, Jouer Cosmetics, Precouture, Riachi Studio and Cream Magazine.
